HAVANA will be on the runway again, tonight, March 20, at the Menswear Fashion Week (see useful slurls at the end of this post). We will participate in the SL Night Out On The Town (Suit Group Show), at 8 P.M. SL Time, with two of our classic outfits:
After a period of hard work, we are finally proud to announce HAVANA’s new collection for male avatars in SL. Our customers have already had a small preview of our new items, which coincided with the past 49 L Sale For Dudes and the Menstuff Hunt – and now the whole collection arrives together with our participation in the Menswear Fashion Week 2011 and the 5th 49 L Sale (both events have started yesterday, March 18, and will continue until next Friday, March 25).
This time, HAVANA brings to you a series of bikini briefs with sculpted front, tanks, flexi jackets, shorts (which can be transformed into pants as well) with prim cuffs and prim waist bands and loose flexi ties which can be combined with our casual outfits as a fancy accessory. We also decided to develop an additional camo version of selected items, in order to give our customers even more options along with the colorful alternatives already identified with HAVANA. If you are interested in seeing some of our new stuff on the runway, along with other outfits we have developed since the past Fashion Week, do not miss the shows during the Menswear Fashion Week 2011. Our first participation will be today, March 19, at 4 P.M. SL Time, during the SL Boy’s Night Out (Casual Group Show), at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/San%20Francisco%20Marina/125/210/41. Also, our 49 L Sale item, which you can buy both at HAVANA’s main store and at HAVANA’s store at the Fashion Week sim, is one of our new releases: the Camo Boy Shorts, in its Sky Camo version. So, here’s what you’ll find in our new collection:

The first Menstuff Hunt, successor of the original Make Him Over Hunt, officially started yesterday, Jan. 29, in Second Life. You have until Feb. 28 to visit about 150 stores dedicated to fashion for male avatars in Second Life and collect your gifts. Of course, HAVANA is there with a special prize for our hunters: another sample of the new collection we will release during the next weeks – and this pre-release outfit, a sexy one, made of classic pants and a loose flexi tie, is for free until the hunt ends. Do not miss it.
How it works:
– To collect your gift at HAVANA, go to the HAVANA Department at HAVANA On The Docks (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Havana%20Docks/234/191/23) and find the hunt object.
– The hunt object is a black sculpted T-shirt on which you can read “MENstuff”. Attention, the T-shirt is NOT your gift, it is just the hunt object. Click on it to collect your prize.
– A hint to find the hunt object at HAVANA: Run to the light, Carol Anne!
– HAVANA is store #93 in the hunt and you can start the circuit at any point. Once you collect a hunt gift, you will receive a landmark to the next store and, when you reach the last store on the list, you will receive a landmark to the first one.
– For a list of the stores taking part in the hunt, you can check the Menstuff Hints & SLURLS page on the Menstuff blog (
the page does not have the slurls, though, only the store list and the hints to find the gift the slurls were added).

The HAVANA boys are pleased to announce that Jeepers, by designer Eponymous Trenchmouth, is now in charge of the new Shoe Department at HAVANA On The Docks. Eppy has been creating some great male shoe models in Second Life since 2006, when he created Jeepers Creepers, the brand that would soon become well-known and widely praised as JCS and JC’s – and since early 2010, Jeepers.
At HAVANA On The Docks, Jeepers is presenting some of its most amazing shoes, including the recently released DB Desert Boots and the Havana Sandals, a classic in SL and a must have!
With the arrival of Jeepers, HAVANA On the Docks is now offering shoes, casual clothes, leather items, skins, eyes, oriental clothes, jewels and silks for male avatars – all in the same store, for your convenience, gathering different designers, each one dedicating themselves to their specialty. Go check our store in SL at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Havana%20Docks/152/185/22.
(If you are a designer and wants to join us, HAVANA On The Docks is still searching for designers of quality items for male avatars. Please, read this post and get in touch with Ricco Saenz or Keebo Kidd in SL.)
The anxiously awaited Make Him Over Hunt 4 (Sep. 20 – Oct. 20) has started in Second Life and HAVANA is pleased to present its gift for the participants. It’s a special edition of our new Andy Outfit, which will very soon be released in its commercial version.
The Andy Outfit was inspired by a great friend of ours, model Andreas Barrowstone. It is made of low-rise pants that allow one to show part of their undies (but just the very top of it, insinuating more than it really exposes), a basic T-shirt with some nice detail on the front part and a beautiful vest with floral motifs that enhance that casual ensemble, giving it a touch of class.
The special edition given as a hunt gift combines grey pants and undies in one layer, along with the white T-shirt and the red vest. It is very practical for the SL resident: just 2 double clicks and one is dressed. Coming soon, the commercial version will allow one to choose from different colors of each item and combine them as they want.
In order to get your prize, please visit the HAVANA casual clothes department at HAVANA On The Docks (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Havana%20Docks/234/191/23). And here is our hint to find out where the gift is: “Who could tell what gift one could see under the glow of the east?” Do not forget: look for a male symbol – ♂ – and click on it to get your prize. For the complete list of stores and hints, check this post on the Make Him Over blog.

Second Life has amazingly different kinds of sims – still, the traditional tropical, summer themed ones are among the most appealing environments when people think of a place to live, to meet friends or to have an outdoor party. What can one wear there if they want to go beyond the customary no-shirt outfit? My suggestion: go with linen. Linen is widely praised for its coolness and freshness and, although it is one of the oldest known textiles, it can produce a classy, urbane look even on casual clothes. With that in mind, the HAVANA boys have been developing a new linen line, and the first results are here: the HAVANA Linen Pullovers, in three different options, all of them with sculpted bunched sleeves – and slightly transparent, for we wanted them to be really cool, fresh and (why not?) manly sexy.
I spent a day at the beach and tried all the three models. In the beginning of the day, I went for a walk at Blake Sea with the Linen Pistachio Pullover, which combines the natural color of the fabric with some light, vivid but smooth green. It looked very good under the morning light.
In the afternoon, while visiting the wrecks of a plane, I had the Linen Painted Pullover on. The pinkish, salmon color applied to the crude linen turned out amazing at sunset.
Finally, in the warm evening of that tropical landscape, I chose the Linen Blue Touch Pullover. Of course, one can switch them and choose different options than mine for each part of the day. I bet it will still look great.
– Linen Pistachio Pullover (with sculpted bunched sleeves): L$ 125.
– Linen Painted Pullover (with sculpted bunched sleeves): L$ 125.
– Linen Blue Touch Pullover (with sculpted bunched sleeves): L$ 125.
– Linen Pullovers Fat Pack (Pistachio, Painted and Blue Touch): L$ 300.
You can buy them at:

– HAVANA @ Zeus Men’s Mall (in SL)

SL pics for this post were taken at different Blake Sea regions. This time I used no modeling poses, only my traditional Vista AO. My skin is the Tristan Tan one, by Ricochet (designer Allan Eizenhart), which you can find at HAVANA On The Docks. My hair is the Nick model by UncleWeb Studio (or UWSt.). Eyes by LaFleur (designer Fleur Ferris), which you can also find at HAVANA On The Docks. My shape is a traditional Chad Avatar Shape (believe it or not) tweaked by myself. My tattos are a freebie that I found long ago at Maschinenwerk. My body hair comes from Kustom and my swimwear, from Get Butch. Have I forgotten anything?
A traditional wing on the fashion spectrum has always stated that men’s jewelry should be limited to the functional: watches, cuff links and items like that. Nonetheless, there have been guys out there who have made their way with the help of bracelets, necklaces, chains combined with button-down shirts, tanks, open collars, folded sleeves… It’s all a matter of style – and it is not different in Second Life. For the guys who like to compose their outfits with some jewels, desginer Puck Optera has been offering interesting options at HAVANA On The Docks.
Puck has been working with different gems (ammolite, peridot, emerald, rodochrosite, etc.) on gold, silver and platinum. Recently, he has released a whole new line of chains for L$ 300 each.
– Chains by Family Jewels (designer Puck Optera): L$ 300.

HAVANA On The Docks is happy to announce that designer Fleur Ferris has joined our department store. The owner of LaFleur is offering some very well done eyes at an incredible price there – only L$ 50 for 2 pairs (restricted to some pairs right now, but expanding to cover all eye pairs soon)!
Fleur’s decision to join us came with a self-determination to improve even further her eye textures. This really got us excited. With her detailed work on colors, Fleur had already achieved some unique effects, both on fantasy and realistic eyes. Now, she has also decided to offer eye pairs in two different versions for each pattern, which you can alter depending on the reflection effect you want on the eyeballs. And the news gets even better: she decided to sell both versions with no additional cost – in other words, you get two for the price of one.
Right now, the alternative versions are being offered only on vendors 1 and 2. Nonetheless, Fleur told us that she will gladly send the additional textures to those who prefer eyes from other vendors, as soon as she has them finished and uploaded into Second Life. I, myself, have already bought some pairs (the ones shown on the pictures).
Fleur has been offering many different colors for you to choose from, it is impossible to show them all here. So, if you would like to see more options, please, visit the Eye Department at HAVANA On The Docks.
– LaFleur eye pairs: L$ 50 (2 versions of each pair for the price of one – only on vendors 1 and 2 right now, but expanding to the other vendors soon).
– Where: HAVANA On The Docks (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Havana%20Docks/152/185/22).
PS: If you are a designer and would like to join us at the HAVANA On The Docks project, please check our post on the subject. HAVANA On The Docks is an initiative by Ricco Saenz and Keebo Kidd to bring together different designers at a department store for men in Second Life, with the aim of improving both customers’ shopping experience and designers’ sales.
Jaunty for Men, an SL magazine for men’s fashion, presents the 49 Linden Sale for Dudes, running from June 20-26. All items in the sale/hunt will be L$ 49, well below their normal selling price.
HAVANA is proud to be part of this event. The item we are offering you is the Lazy Nights Black-to-Red tank. It normally sells for L$ 100, so here’s your change to get it at a 50% savings.
We will have two vendors available for you to purchase this item from, one at each entrance to our HAVANA On the Docks location. Vendors for this sale can be identified by the Dude Arrow:
More information and a complete list of participating stores can be found at http://www.jauntymag.com/sale/

As a result of a series of decisions – some by ourselves and some by others – all HAVANA stores have been moving.
The process started with Zeus Men’s Mall redesign, which led HAVANA’s store there to move a little further to the left of where it used to be. Not a big move, but still…
A major change happened, though, when we pushed ahead the HAVANA On The Docks project and opened our department store in our own sim (Havana Docks). The new sim is adjacent to The Gayborhood Island, where our main store used to be. We moved our store to the new place and now, on The Gayborhood, you can find a teleporter to HAVANA On The Docks.
While we were still moving to the Havana Docks sim, we were informed that Gay World, where we also have a store, was about to be completely transformed. We will still have a shop at the new Gay World, which will probably open next week (and believe me, it looks amazing, I am really excited about the redesign of the sim), but due to the big transformation there, we will be far from where we originally were.
Finally, we also decided to open a store at Castro Beach and, at the same time, learned that the Sky Mall would close. So, as a result of all these moves, we are updating our landmarks and slurl addresses as follows:
– HAVANA @ HAVANA On The Docks:
– HAVANA @ Zeus Men’s Mall:
– HAVANA @ Gay World:
– HAVANA @ Castro Beach:
As I briefly mentioned on another post, we have plans to expand HAVANA On The Docks and have started selecting designers to join the project. The idea is to have a store that covers virtually anything that a human or humanoid male avatar may search for in Second Life, in terms of clothes and body accessories. So, if you are a designer and may be interested in joining us, please get in touch.
HAVANA On The Docks is a department store – not a shopping mall. We intend to have a selected designer in charge of each specific department (or maybe in charge of two departments, but not much more than that), instead of many a designer offering the same kind of products or only one designer making various kinds of products. We believe that, this way, we can achieve two different objectives.
First, our customers will be able to easily find what they are searching for, with no need for running up and down to check different stores that offer the same things (which may happen in a mall) or to find the specific products that they would like to buy. In a department store, all the sections are rationally organized and if one wants, for instance, some casual clothes, they can go directly to the casual clothes section.
Second, a department store like HAVANA On The Docks, with different, selected designers in charge of different departments, may mean some exposure for the ones who join the project. This may be particularly useful for new designers who have a great potential but find it difficult to start or promote their business in Second Life.
The conditions for the ones who would like to join us are very attractive, I should say: we do not charge rent, just a commission on sales to help us pay the sim where HAVANA On The Docks is located (which means that your contribution is proportional to what you sell, there is no risk of you having to pay more than what you receive); we allow people to advertise their own brands under certain conditions, so that not only HAVANA On The Docks gets promoted, but also the specific designers who are in charge of each department; and last but not least, we encourage designers to use some of our means of contact with our customers (our blog, our in-world message system, etc.) to inform of new releases and other subjects.
So, if you are a designer of items for male avatars in SL and would like to join us in the HAVANA On The Docks project:
– please, visit HAVANA On The Docks (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Havana%20Docks/152/185/22) and check if the kind of items that you design are not being offered at the store yet;
– if your products are of a different category than the ones being offered at the store, please get in touch with Ricco Saenz or Keebo Kidd via Second Life IM, via email (email@example.com) or by answering to this post. Once you do that, we will check your products, talk further on the conditions for joining HAVANA On The Docks, etc. Remember we do not require that you have a great collection of items, new designers (or experienced ones) are welcome.
If you are interested, do not hesitate, we are waiting for your message.
Male silks are a big trend in Second Life: they are sexy, beautiful and provocative – and this is what Vrat Skytower has been offering at HAVANA On The Docks. Could it be better? Actually, it is: the designer and owner of the 5th Tower brand, who has been creating amazing silks for guys in SL, decided to celebrate two events simultaneously: the opening of HAVANA On The Docks and the Pride month. Vrat’s celebration comes in the form of a Special Edition of his Romanum inspired Silks.
The Romanum inspired Silks, Special Edition, are being offered exclusively at HAVANA On The Docks, and only during July 2010. Do not lose the chance of acquiring this special item!
– Romanum inspired Silks, Special Edition: L$ 550.
It can be bought at:
– HAVANA On The Docks (in Second Life).
The HAVANA On The Docks fashion show and opening party was a blast! Thank you all who attended; we hope you enjoyed it. We will soon post some pictures of that great event. Meanwhile, I am happy to announce that HAVANA keeps celebrating the opening of the new department store with two special releases: the Havana Fedora (with different patterns for you to choose and at a discounted prize only during June) and the Azazello Pants.
The Havana Fedora is a classic model made more contemporary by means of some colorful, expressive plaid patterns – and you do not even have to choose which one you would like to have: it comes scripted, with the three different options. Just click on it and choose the color that best fits your outfit and your spirit each day.
The Azazello Pants is actually one of the first creations by me. It was especially made for Azazello Zeluco, who, after a while, generously contacted me to let me know that, if I would like to release the pants to Havana’s customers, he would be pleased to share the design with other guys. So, here it is. Made in (virtual) leather, the Azazello pants feature some hot flames around the legs and devil horns on the back part.
– Havana Fedora: L$ 175 (discounted price to celebrate the HAVANA On The Docks opening; the hat comes with 3 different textures: red plaid, black plaid and blue plaid).
– Havana Azazello Pants: L$ 125.
This Sunday, May 30, you are invited to the Grand Opening of HAVANA On the Docks, your new department store for male avatars in Second Life. Take note: May 30, 1PM-3:30PM SL Time at The Gayborhood. The event starts with a fashion show followed by a party with DJ Erasmus Weatherwax. (Please notice that, though the Havana Docks sim is set to “mature”, The Gayborhood, which is the neighboring sim, where the fashion show will take place, is “adult” and requires your av to be age verified).
HAVANA On the Docks brings together the HAVANA collection and other designers’ creations, in order to offer a variety of items for male avatars in SL. To start with, we will be featuring casual clothes by Ricco Saenz and Keebo Kidd (HAVANA), skins by Allan Eizenhart (Ricochet), leather items by Gareth Sodwind (Leather Bound), silks by Vrat Skytower (5th Tower) and jewelry by Puck Optera (Family Jewels). This is just the beginning: we already have plans to expand the offerings.
HAVANA On the Docks is an initiative by the HAVANA boys to enhance their customers shop experience and, at the same time, highlight promising designers with a great potential in SL. It is not a mall where you have to keep running up and down to find what you want – it is a department store where you can easily locate the items you are searching for.
Each department is under the responsibility of a different designer, who can be fully concentrated in offering the best in the category of items that they are designing for. Thus, our customers win in quality and convenience.
So, do you like the idea? Why don’t you go there and check for yourself? The new HAVANA On the Docks store is located at Havana Docks 152, 185, 22. And, again, the grand opening is scheduled to happen at The Gayborhood (the neighboring sim) next Sunday, May 30, 1PM-3:30PM SLT.
We hope you enjoy it!
Ricco Saenz and Keebo Kidd
PS: The HAVANA On the Docks store replaces the HAVANA store at The Gayborhood. So, if you arrive at The Gayborhood and do not see our store there, please, remember: we just moved to the neighboring sim, which is called Havana Docks. There will be a teleporter and a guided boat where the old store used to be, to take our customers to the new store.
PPS: As we said before, HAVANA On the Docks has plans to expand the range of products that it offers to its customers. If you are a designer and would like to join us, please, contact Ricco Saenz or Keebo Kidd. We only request that: a) your items be suitable for human/hybrid male avatars and b) your items be of a different kind from the ones that the store already offers (HAVANA On the Docks is a department store, not a shopping mall). If you think this is the case, send us a message and we will be pleased to consider your participation.
This is a week of new releases: besides our freebie for the Make Him Over Hunt 3 (check our post about it), we finally bring to you the commercial version of the HAVANA Beach Flowers Shirt and the HAVANA Bowler hat.
The Beach Flowers Shirt was conceived a while ago, for the New Man Hunt, but hadn’t had a commercial release – up to now. It is an innovative design for HAVANA, since its lower part is made of a series of flexi prims, which give the shirt a nice movement when one walks around in it. The shirt comes open, which adds to the casual atmosphere that it creates, and can be worn with a tank top or, if you want to be more daring, with nothing under it, in order to show some bare chest.
The HAVANA Bowler is exactly what its name says: a bowler hat. Since we first made it (also a while ago) we worked on the base sculpt in order to improve it. We came up with this version which is being released now (the ones who have bought it before have already received the new version for free). A bowler is always a nice hat and goes with many different outfits, both casual and formal ones. But to be more fresh and vibrant without having its versatility reduced, the HAVANA Bowler comes in a texture that displays some white stars against a black felt background.
Since the HAVANA Bowler and the Beach Flowers Shirt look great together, we decided to offer them not only as individual items, but also in a discount pack. Sounds good? So, go check them at the HAVANA store at The Gayborhood! (For now, it is only available there; soon we will offer them at the other stores, too).
– HAVANA Beach Flowers Shirt (with flexi prims): L$ 175
– HAVANA Bowler Hat: L$ 175
– HAVANA Beach Flowers Shirt + HAVANA Bowler Hat (discount pack): L$ 275
You can find them at:
– HAVANA at The Gayborhood (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Gayborhood%20Island/232/128/23)
The Make Him Over Hunt (April 1st – April 30) has started in Second Life and we are proud to present our gift for its 3rd edition: the Keitash Outfit.
I owe the idea for this outfit to my great friend Takeshi Ugajin. When I was preparing for the hunt, I asked him what he would like to see by HAVANA and he came up with this suggestion: a tank top in white and red that could be worn with a cardigan in dark grey. I worked on it for a while and came up with the items you can see on this post. The Keitash cardigan comes on the jacket layer, with optional prim sleeves. The Keitash tank comes on the shirt layer, with the lower part on the underwear layer. Additionally, I added both together to a single piece on the jacket layer, for your convenience. Keebs and I hope you all enjoy it!
In order to get your prize, please visit the HAVANA store at The Gayborhood (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Gayborhood%20Island/233/128/23). Do you need a hint to find out where the gift is? “Look, up there, it’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a frog…a frog? No, it’s the HAVANA Gift!” For the complete list of stores and hints, check this post on the Make Him Over blog.
Enjoy the hunt!
We have been so busy preparing new items for our customers that we did not have time to announce it before: the Brief or Boxer Hunt has just started in Second Life and HAVANA is offering a special prize for our dear hunters – the Sheer Boxer Briefs in black and dark green, released for this event.
The Brief or Boxer Hunt (or BoB Hunt) started today, Jan. 25, and goes until Feb. 14. If you like male underwear (who doesn’t?), do not miss it. HAVANA is the 27th store in the hunt, in a total of 29 stores. A hint to find your prize there: look to the right and be brief about it. Further information on the BoB Hunt can be found on The Hunter blog.
In order to celebrate the hunt, we also decided to release a whole new collection of Sheer Boxer Briefs (actually, the hunt gift is part of this collection). They come in different colors and, as always, you can buy them individually or combined in our discounted multi packs. Enjoy!
– Hunt Gift – Havana Sheer Boxer Briefs in black and green: you can get it for free in our store at The Gayborhood.
– Havana Sheer Boxer Briefs (in white and blue, white and salmon, white and black, black and wine or black and white): L$ 110 each.
– Havana Sheer Boxer Briefs in multicolor packs (3 different boxer briefs in each pack): L$ 250.
A note on the BoB Hunt: You should see a sign, at all the stores taking part of the hunt, that allows you to join the hunters group. Joining is optional, but it may help you to get updates on the event and to have your doubts solved. Please, read the group rules before joining.
The Menswear Fashion Week 2010 in Second Life was a great opportunity for HAVANA. It was not only a way to reach a larger public, but also a recognition of our hard work in trying to develop high quality items with a unique style. HAVANA is still a young brand, and of course we have a lot to learn. The progress we have been achieving reflects itself in HAVANA’s growth and we aim to keep following this road. Above all, we hope we can give the best to our customers.
During the Menswear Fashion Week 2010, HAVANA took part in two collective runway shows: the one for casual outfits and the one for underwear. For those who could not be present for the shows and for those who would like to see some of it again, here are the photographs of the events:
